These terms apply to every order placed on britishshop.lk. By placing an order with The British Shop you agree to them, together with our Delivery Information, Return Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
The British Shop, Hudson House, Station Drive, Epsom, Surrey, KT19 8DL, United Kingdom. We select products from the UK and Paris and deliver them to customers in Sri Lanka.
2. Products and prices
- Prices are shown in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR) on each product page.
- Product names, descriptions and images come from the brands and suppliers. Packaging, formulations and shades can change, so what you receive may differ slightly from the picture.
- We do not manufacture the products we sell, and we do not test them ourselves.
3. Orders, stock and pre-orders
Some products are held in stock in Colombo. Others are pre-ordered, or ordered from a quote we give you, and then imported for you from the UK or Paris. Please check the product, size, shade and quantity before you confirm an order. Delivery times, charges and how pre-orders work are explained on the Delivery Information page.
4. Payment
We confirm the payment methods available for your order at checkout or when we confirm your order or quote. An order is accepted when we confirm it to you.
5. Delivery
Please give a complete delivery address and a telephone or WhatsApp number that works. Delivery estimates can be affected by suppliers, customs and couriers. Full details are on the Delivery Information page.
6. Returns, swaps and refunds
We do not give cash refunds. Pre-orders and quoted orders cannot be refunded, cancelled or exchanged once confirmed. Items held in stock in Colombo can be swapped within 7 days if they meet the conditions in our Return Policy. If an order arrives damaged, defective, expired or wrong, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will put it right. The Return Policy has the full conditions.
7. Food supplements and health products
Food supplements should not replace a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you are pregnant, take medicines or have a medical condition, speak to a doctor or pharmacist before using a supplement. Information on this website is general and is not medical advice.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the laws that apply to you, including your rights to receive goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you place it.
