- Length. L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Original Mascara lengthens with a stretching formula and a supple comb; L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Extensionist Mascara adds fibres and magnetic pigments for length, volume and curl. Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero-Smudge Mascara is a lengthening, zero-smudge formula for up to 15 hours of wear.
- Lift and curl. Lancome Lash Idole Mascara is a lash-lifting, volumising mascara with a smudge-proof formula.
- Prime first. Lancome Cils Booster XL Lash Primer is a white fibre-enriched lash primer you wear under your usual mascara.
What to check
- Waterproof or washable. In humid weather, a smudge-proof or waterproof formula holds better, but it needs a proper remover at night.
- Brush shape. A comb separates; a bigger brush builds volume.
- Replace it. Throw mascara away after about three months, and never add water to a dry tube.
