Joint Care Supplements in Sri Lanka: Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM Compared
What is in joint supplements
Most combine glucosamine and chondroitin, often with MSM, turmeric or boswellia and vitamin C. Of these, vitamin C is the one with an approved claim here: it contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage. Evidence for the other ingredients varies, so treat a supplement as a support, not a treatment for joint pain.

How to compare
- Dose per day. Find the serving size, since several products need more than one capsule a day.
- Days per pack. A 180 capsule pack that takes three a day lasts 60 days.
- Source. Glucosamine is commonly made from shellfish. If you have a shellfish allergy, check the label.
If joint pain is persistent, see a doctor.
